To make this star first you have to draw or print a star template on a blank piece of paper. You can find the template here. Then trace the pattern on cardboard and cut the shape. Also draw the lines emerging from its centre to all the six inward pointed edges. Then burn, blow and cool the matchsticks and remove any excess ashes from the tips. Starting from the centre glue 6 matchsticks forming a starburst like pattern. Then fill each sector with burnt matchsticks and if required cut the matchsticks for length adjustments. Let the glue dry and your star is ready to be decorated.
