Making your own DIY Christmas wreaths at home can be fun but simple. You don’t need to put a great deal of time or effort into making DIY Christmas wreaths. It does not take a lot of money either to make a wreath as all you need, is a few simple items to help make a wreath from home.

So, the first thing that you are going to need to collect is, some twigs, leaves, Christmas tree branches, berries – make sure they are red berries as they look more Christmassy. You can also collect some cinnamon sticks and some fresh pinecones; wire rings, these you can easily pick up at a florists, some twine and wire and spray paint – gold and silver spray paints. These things are easy to pick up and you don’t need to worry too much about the cost.

You should be able to pick up the base, the wire rings at a florist so that should mean you don’t have anything to worry about because you don’t need to make these up by yourself. However, you should start by attaching damp moss to the wire rings, this will be a fantastic way to help you to keep everything moist and actually on the wreath. What is more, you should try to use a lot of moss and ensure that you wrap the wire rings with the moss and twine – this keeps everything secure and safe.

To make your own DIY Christmas wreaths you should make sure you layer the wreath with everything you have collected. This makes wrapping leaves and twigs together and you can try to make little bouquets. Once you have done this, you can then add your pinecones and then your berries and little bow ties.

After that you will be able to add the finishing touches to the wreaths like gold or silver paints. You can easily of course add any little features to the wreath if you so wish such as bow ties, ribbons and anything else. You don’t always need to go for a traditional style wreath as you could put your own spin on the wreath and add different colours.
