Have you got an old, tall and narrow shelf that you are in plans of tossing away? If yes then instead of disposing it, turn it to a beautiful bench with a bit of modification. To do this first you have to sand the old shelf and then paint it in a color that you like. After that take a narrow piece of foam and cover it with any available fabric to become the seat.
So, now you not only have space to sit but you can also store your things in the shelves of the bench that was once an old standing bookcase.
