To make the basket of this adorable decoration first you have to cut wooden sticks in equal sized pieces. Here sushi sticks are used. Place the sticks in a circular manner around a plastic bucket and then keep on gluing more sticks with hot glue gun by placing every upper stick on the meeting point of the lower two sticks. Then inflate a balloon and glue some sticks on its top part as shown. Pop the balloon and you will get a cute nest ready. Then to assemble the whole decoration wrap a piece of thick wire with twine and hot glue a metal wire hook at its one end. Put a piece of styrofoam in the bucket, bend and poke the wire it in. Hang the nest with the hook at the other end of the wire. Embellish the twine wrapped wire with artificial flowers and add some faux grass, birds and eggs to the nest. You can also use the technique of the bird nest to make a simple topiary basket.
